i find that my forehead is always so dry and scaly and to combat this, i put moisturizer on it at least twice a day, sometimes three...how much is too much to put on your skin? Does it harm your skin if you moisturize too much? I am just wondering... thanks in advance for your answers!

I have no real knowledge on this subject, but this is what I think: I think that if your skin feels dry it is good to apply moisturizer. Maybe you should try another brand?

Advert say so. Personally mines just fine because I don't put a lot of stuff on it. I don't think many should but that's their call, my wife used to give my son alot of baby oil. He came down one day and he felt like a water slide! ~Joey

I think it's like anything else, in moderation is best. If you over indulge in the moisturizers it means that what you're using isn't replenishing the oils you need. Perhaps you should try something else. I think if you over moisturize the outcome will generally be pimples or blemishes as it would clog the pores. If you're not suffering from that or your skin itself isn't getting sort of "oily" on the surface while still being dry and scaly then I'd say you can stop worrying. But if you're having to put on tons and tons of moisturizer and still not getting results it could be your brand. Try something different.

I don't think excess moisturizer harms your skin. I have dry palms myself so Itoo use moisturizer....trust me id rather not but people around me make me do it

i don't think there's such a thing as over-moisturizing. I guess you only put more than two applications of moisturizer if your skin tend to be drier which is good. Actually dry skin is easier to manage than oily skin (which i have), so , your lucky!
