Do you love "LOVE BIRDS"?

I have a pet lovebird as well as two parakeets and a flock of cockatiels. My lovebird cost around $80 after we talked the store down from $100. Lovebirds make good pets and can be a lot of fun. They will bond to one person, or bird. If you only have one lovebird he'll bond to his owner. If you have other birds he may bond to one of them. In my case my male lovebird fell in love with one of my male cockatiels. So they make an entertaining couple. He's friendly to my wife and I but he avoids strangers. One thing I must warn you about. As cute and lovable as they are, they are also bullies. My lovebird is mean to my other birds and very protective of the bird he's in love with. I don't recommend mixing lovebirds with large groups. Just keep one or two.

I like birds but I don't have any at home actually. I guess it's quite expensive having them as a pet?.? hehehe.. ( I'm on a tight budget actually ) But if money is not an issue with regards to having them, why not? They're lovely to look at! Isn't it?. ;)

I've never had a love bird, I had a parakeet once and it was fun to take care of. I wanted to get a love bird however it was very expensive and I only had enough for the parakeet. I don't understand why they are so expensive, but they are beautiful and great birds.
