I remember things that I wish I could forget, but as time goes on I allow myself to have a bit of rememberance time even when the memories aren't great. I try to analyse it rationally and then it tends to go away for a long time.
If I keep trying to think not to remember, then it rears its ugly head too many times.
I was taught a mental exercise to do with people I needed to forget. First turn them black and white, shrink them down in size, put them in a box and place them far into the back of my memory. I tell you it really does work and if they keep knocking from the inside of the box, just ignore them!!

For me though this can be a long process so my method works well for me.
Sometimes the natural way just does not do it!!

when you want to forget something and you work hard about this, that means it is really an important thing you want to forget.
then when you try to forget it, you have to rember it in your memory, then you can rember it more.
so if you want to forget something, don't try your best to forget it.
I think the only way to forget something is busy with some other things and let yourself have no time to think about it.
