Lately my 8 year old grandaughter has been having nightmares about someone breaking in and killing us. Just a little while ago she woke up and called for me. This time she told me someone came in her bedroom window and killed us. I assured her the window was closed and locked, as we have air. I'm really concerned. Why would she be having dreams like this? She is a very happy go lucky little girl.

it might be becuase she had seen a horror movie to this effect. seek professional help so she will be able to get over it immediately. her condition can be a concern much deeper than how it appears to be. also, it could be that indeed, there is someone who is thinking of breaking in into your house. from this time on, keep everything well locked up. dreams are sometimes an instrument to warn us about something really bad about to take place. at times, this extra sensory perception (esp) thing works in some of us.

Actually the women in our family do have this thing, which we just call it the "feeling". It's hard to describe. But it is a very uncomfortable feeling,, and it doesn't pass till the event happens.

Hello Irish,I have had many instinses of day ja vu (sp?)
When things happen and I know I had seen this before.
and later, remember it was in a dream or nightmare.
in many of these cases,it was years later when it took place, but when it runs in a family,it is nothing to scoff at.
As has been mentioned,it may be conected to something she has seen or heard of outside the home, that is triggering it,have a good chat with her.
Are these reacuring dreams and are they basically the same each time?Ask her to describe the room she is in,is it the same as her bedroom now or have things in it changed?
what is her age in the dreams?
If you can get answers to these questions, you may get a better insite.
Take care.
Blessed Be.

I was reading trinidadvelasco's response and your reply...if it's true that the women in your family have this "gift" of sensing things I would take extra precautions--do you have some kind of alarm system as well?? Maybe it would put everyone in a better frame of mind having them installed ---and soon!
