Why Orochimaru quit Akatsuki? Who is his partner then?

they never really specify why he exactly left, my best guess is probably conflict in interests. he wanted to just destroy a village and live forever...as for his partner...the best person you can say is his partner is his right hand man Kabuto who helps him when he gets sick and is a pretty devoted follower.

Someone told me Kabuto is just a spy.
The one who told me that said that Kabuto is really a spy of a member of Akatsuki.
But he didn't told me what is the reason for helping Orochimaru cos he also don't know the reason.

in a way, he is. but they'll reveal all the answers soon in the anime after the Garra Rescue arc. the next mission after that they explain about Kabuto and what he really is. if you want to go ahead of the anime, there's about 20+ chapters of manga. right now in the manga they're on the 4th mission in the naruto shippuuden series. A LOT has happend, so most people who read already know. you can find the manga at fansites like narutofan.com
