How to maintain an existing bore-hole

Am a plumber in Abuja ,Nigeria,the problem is that i was called to solve a situation where an existing bore hole brings out alote of residue.On my part ,I have introduced 3 water filters for better result,but, am afraid that before long the filters will go bad and become ineffective .The question is what do i do to get a parmanent solution.Thanks
