Hello.shaun,welcome back to mylot,it is always good to have a friend who is good at computer so that you can call him/her for free advice and seek for help at once. Those 'experts' always charge you much and it will be even more expensive if they need to get some new computers for your computer.Most of the time,it may end up like few hundreds bucks.

It is always so good to have a friend who can help you repair your computer but do remeber to treat him something worth $50 yea lol ....

And, I thought my Gateway was cranky! Two computers I'll never buy again are Dell and Gateway. Next time I'm spending the big bucks on a real computer. Good to hear you didn't have to pay them the $50.00 they wanted, though.
We just got hooked up to broadband this week because it's supposedly faster than dialup and the stupid thing has cut out on us twice. I hate it when that happens, cause it means no more My Lot! Not a good thing. Mommy has got to have her My Lot! Later.

What kind of problems were you having before it crashed? I have a Dell and I love it. I have had no problems at all with the computer. I am having a problem with the Internet Explorer program ever since I upgraded from version 6 to version 7. I was wondering also if you have a desktop or a laptop?

I have a desktop. I don't know what happened but I have been paying them and have had problems since I bought this dell since 2002. I have had to replace like 3 different towers since I have had the first one which in good. i am glad they have replaced it but I'm not sure if it is worth paying out over 40.00 for them to come back and look at it.
