I'm looking for someplace where I can create a web site for free. Something that isn't TOO intrusive with it's own advertising and has enough bandwidth so your page doesn't take 5 minutes to load. Has anyone here done that? Mind if I take a look at it? Thanks...

What kind of website are you interested in designing for what purpose will it make its mark? Are you familiar with what you see is what you get editors and html editors etc? I have a website that is chock full of resources for the Spirit, Mind & Body and it only took a few weeks to put the basic stuff and then over-time it has grown. A website 'under construction' is usually a good sign for those seeking continual changes and transformations. This usually means the webmaster is always busy, always adding, improving, tweaking etc. My webmaster for my site and any and all help I give him, makes for a site with purpose, flair, creativity and value.

You can surely create your own website and that too absolutely free of cost.
All you need is to invest some of your time.
