do you believe in Omens ?

One day I was going out for making an inquiry on an official case. When I just went out of the gate, one friend came with a bottle of milk and wished me. I became happy as this was felt as good sign. But that day was not my day. I could not any person connected with the case or could not collect any other evidences. When I returned I met this friend again. This time I realised one fact. This man is handicapped person and seeing a handicapped person is considered as a bad omen in my place.
Do you believe in all these beliefs

Just like what I stated in a similar discussion posted here in myLot and which I previously responded to; I believe in omens about 90% of the time. But apart from just believing in them, I try to counter the negative effects they might bring by uttering a short prayer asking for protection and positive energies of the universe. Further, I don't consider them as omens; I consider them more as messages from the universe for discernment of people.
I also believe in feng shui and though I can't say that I'm a master of it, I try my best to apply its principles which is mainly balancing the elements in one's life.

I dont understand exactly what is behind these omens so even if someperson says it is not good to see such things in your life i dont listen to it and i tend to forget it in the next moment itself.i havent reveiwed my day has it been good or bad today so i dont exactly noticed how it is going to affect our life
