A-Rod - Bush league or Smart?

Did you see what A-Rod pulled in the Yankees game last night? A-Rod is running from 1st to 2nd base, and as Toronto is trying to catch the fly ball, A-Rod says "mine, mine" as he's running, so the Torornto Shortstop thought the other Blue Jay had it, and the ball dropped and A-Rod tagged 2nd with no problem.

Although it can be seen as a cheap tactic, I think it's perfectly within the rules and does not violate anything. The bigger problem they should be looking at is why the Blue Jays' shortstop and third baseman's communication is so bad. They should not be blaming Alex Rodriguez for this problem; they only have themselves to blame.
