The best and ever lasting opening pair is sachin and saurav who broke many partnership's records and made themselves a ideal pair. for tests its depends on the players who the team choose, i even go with these players gambir, karthik, shewag and yuvraj

In my view, Sachin and Saurav is the best opening pair for india.

I feel sachin and sourav are the best and most successful openers for India in one dayers having many century runs partnerships between them and winning lot of matches for India. In tests i feel Wasim Jaffer and Gambhir/sehwag/kartik could be used. Though i prefer jaffer and gambhir as they are proper openers for their state teams have opened all their life which is imp. as opening is specialist job.
