I don't mean the country, or state..but more like your house and neighborhood.
I like the current house we have, though I'm not so sure about the neighborhood yet (only been here a month, and it hasn't been the best month, so..bleh). But how about you guys? Like the people? Animals? Plant-life? Local businesses?

I am extremely happy at the place where I live. Because I have been living here for 40 years. This is a cozy place, yet in the heart of the city and it is our own place. If I dispose off this property I can buy 4 hourses at the outskirts of the city, but I still prefer to stay here. Neighbourhood knows us for decades and they are friendly.

Hi,
We own a house in a metropolitan city which is completely devoid of all charms. I like the house I live. It's kinda cosy. But the neighborhood is not peaceful. There is a small factory next to my house where carpenters work all day. The terrible sound that they make often cause me a nervous breakdown. The neighborhood seems indifferent and that's what I like the most. I don't want my place to be crowded all day. Unexpected visit interrupts my work. People are very friendly here, but they are, just like the people of any big city, care less about the environment. We have a railway station nearby. The train travels all over India and just before arriving at the station it waits next to my house for the signal. There it blows horns with all it's might and that pisses me off. It sounds as if a blue whale memorizing a wordbook in a loud, high pitched voice. This is awful. Thanks.
God bless you.

I live in my own house which I built about quarter century ago.We were alone then .Gradually many houses have come up around. Now ours is very busy locality and conveniences. We have made good friends of our neigbors. We all live like family now.We are very happy here. As you have moved to the new house very recently as you say it takes time to be comfortable in the new house. One thing you should remember that you make friendship with neighbors as soon as possible. At any rate don't create enemity with them and later you feel miserable to live there. You may have to make some sacrifices{ don't know what } but it is worth...

I absolutely love my house and I'm sort of liking my neighborhood. What I don't like is that we're in the middle of nowhere and have to travel a half hour *just* do to groceries. When I was in the city, I could get all my errands finished in the time it takes me now to commute. It frustrates me, but it's a trade off for safety and quiet. And, the gas prices make it difficult to accomplish these long-driven tasks as well.
