Has anybody read any of "The Demonata" by Darren Shan?

Although it's "billed" as a kid's series, I have really been enjoying this series, especially "Demon Theif", the second book in the series, it has an incredible and very thought provoking twist in the end.
For those of you who have read any of them and the previous series, the saga of Darren Shan, which do you prefer?

I don't read any of Darren Shan's books.But my daughter does.She loves Demonata more than his other series.I think it's the demon-genre that gets her hooked.She gets into the type of stuff.She's currently bugging me to get her the 6th book,that just came out.
