Best programming language for designing a storefront?

I'm interested in picking up programming again. It has been years since I've tried anything. The last language I knew was Pascal. I intend on making a storefront and wanted recommendations on the best language to use. Thanks!

Great! I learn fast and will check out the resource. I was kind of just hoping for recommendations from folks who use programming languages a lot as to which would be the MOST useful for storefronts. Thanks for the tips though.
