I think the most the average person can do is to find out what companies & manufacters use children and boycott their products, send letters objecting to their practices & involve the police or government agency that oversees labor laws in your area.

Yes as you said, we can boycott the products but in many cases ive seen that all these happens under the influence of police and goverment staff.

yes, this is one easy step where everyone can partake of. we can easily boycott the products of these companies. that is, if these products are locally produced. as for exported and imported items, this goes offhand already.
laws will have to be to adequately passed to curb this malpractice. unless something is being done with this at a good level, the acts of kidnapping children so as they can be made to work in underground factories will never be checked. without laws to enforce, nothing can be done with those companies and factories which keep on having children working for them.

this is a big problem which is not easy to deal with. but much can be done by starting to pass some laws which iwll really matter and then enforce this in full strength. more laws will follow whenever there is found to be an appropriate need to reinforce the first one whihch was promulgated. it is better to keep on trying to keep the levels at its lowest than do nothing about it. the policemen are once again expected to be incharge of this operation. governments though can always create a special body within the police force to concentrate on the matter.
