Paypal Scam!!!!!

Not to scare u guys!! Just to inform you that today, while taking calls at work, I got a customer who told me that Paypal accounts were hacked, n that he wanted me to freeze his direct debit to Paypal. Then he asked me if I had an account, I said Yes!, n then he warned me to use Paypal, cause they r not trustworthy. He also told me to go to one of the forums n check it out for mysalf. Then he said, he went to their website, n their website was not available, n that he smelt something fishy!!!!Wat do u think guys? I m new to Paypal. Although I have an account, I did not use it yet to get or send payments. I dont know if this is true. Wat do u think?
Please help me, I need advice!!!

paypal is not a scam. I have received many checks from them, and have payed for many things through them.

I use paypal with ebay and havent had a problem yet.... I have been doing this for about a year

I've used paypal a few times with no problem. It is my understanding that it is pretty reliable and safe as anything on line can be.
I think someone was trying to cause trouble.

the only advice i can give you is that next time you look really well where you start the discussion if you want people to see it. i suggest that you start it in the "make extra money" interest.

I don't know if that Paypal Scam is true because I dont have any accounts there. But, I'm planning to sign up there but I'm having this second thoughts of not signing up there because of this issue.
