Today I took an online survey that asked me all kinds of questins about my coffee usage. And, it made me rethink how much coffee I've been drinking. I think I counted up over 21 coffee drinks weekly, both bottled and iced coffee and specialty coffees.
I had no idea I drank so much coffee in a weeks time.
Not to mention the cost of buying all the coffee.
Do you think that it's healthy to drink so much coffee? Or, do you just drink coffee because you feel you have to do so.

I use to drink way to much coffee. It was my water lets say. I finally decided it was time to stop. Drinking or eating to much of anything is not a good thing. I didn't have any for months. I recently had my first cup. It was great! Now mind you I think it taste so good because of the extra cream. I think if I cut back on the cream I could give up coffee completely. I have decided to have no more then two cups a day but perferably one. I also have decided not to drink it everyday. I like the boost of energy it gives me that is the main reason I drink coffee.

Coffee is my last vice. I no longer drink or smoke. I have two huge coffee in the morning and then just have diet pop throughout the day. If I do not have my coffee I will get severe headaches I am afraid. I don't think drinking coffee is very healthy, but it is not the worst thing for you either.
cheers,

Yes, I know what you mean about the headaches. It's just withdrawal. Ten years ago, I tried to kick the habit, and was successful briefly, but the headaches were horrible.

The Americans don't know what the real coffee is. That coffee most of them drank is mixed up with water that's why they drink 1 gallon per day. Find a place where you can buy a real expreso which is half of 1 small cup. If you tried it you will never go back to that big boxes of coffee mixed up with water.

Actually, coffee contains a lot of antioxidants. So said, coffee is actually beneficial to health. The only drawback is the caffeine content. I used to refrain from coffee but after I realize what I just mentioned, I am now drinking decaf coffee everyday.
Quite the best of both worlds. ;-)

Good question. At times I know I have drank too much coffee. I go through phases. I haven't been drinking as much lately. My energy is always up in the summer, so I don't feel I need it as much.
My opinion is that coffee is not a bad thing, but it's also important to make sure you are drinking enough water. Water is important for many of the body's function. So drinking coffee instead of water is not good in my opinion. But as long as you drink water as well, enjoy the coffee. :)

I am presuming these are caffeinated coffees!
Yes, 21 coffees per week sounds way too much!
Cut down slowly.
There are other delicious drinks available to you.
Tea
Fruit juices
Combinations of fruit juices
and then there is always ..... water ...
free on tap
filtered
bottled
mountain stream fresh.
Aim for 1 cup of coffee a day!!
You'll feel a whole lot better.

No, I don't. I don't like coffee at all. But a friend of mine is addicted to coffee. She feels very energy if she drinks a cup of coffee in the moring. But in fact, she is not energy, the coffee let her excited. I often tell her not to drink too much coffee everyday, but she says that she can't give up it, if she doesn't drink a cup of coffee, she feels unsafe during workdays.
Do you think it is good habit to drink a cup of coffee in the morning? I don't like coffee at all.

I'm completely addicted to coffee, iced or hot, and tea. The taste, the smell, the hyperactive benefits . . . it's just all good to me. :) I drink about fourteen or fifteen of these kinds of drinks each week. When things are particularly stressful, it's more.

No guilt needed! No apologies needed, either. Coffee is just plain good stuff. There's no proof that it can make you gain weight, or lose your hair. And, as long as I have those two bases covered, I'll gladly continue my coffee affiliation.

Chew a breath mint and keep posting. That's my trick.

And, ironically espresso is just very strong, concentrated, intensely flavored, black coffee.
Coffee lovers take many forms and wear many cloaks, and while some shroud themselves in secrecy under the beautiful veil of golden cappuccino foam, they're just plain coffee drinkers like the rest of us.

Maybe! Maybe not! But, did you know that coffee can prevent stomach cancer. Yep!
If you eat a grilled burger or meat that's a little too well done, you can get stomach cancer.
But, if you drink a strong cup of coffee afterwards, it nullifies the effect.
Sort of like a caffiene inoculation.
I read that in some health magazine ten years ago.
I'm surprised more people don't know it.

I mostly drink coffee in the morning. Sometimes I will drink it in the evening/nighttime. It usually depends on what it is like outside and the time of year.Right now I don't drink it as much because we are entering our summer period and it is getting hot and humid and so drink coffee isn't as nice as it is in the winter seasons.

it's past midnight here in the philippines and it's only now when i am taking a cup of coffee for today.
i have ischemia (a heart disease) which i had been suffering from since i was in highschool. and i wasn't allowed to take in much coffee since it will affect my breathing condition. so, i just take in a little of it in a week. i don't drink coffee everyday. i tried drinking about 4 cups of coffee one day and it really made me grasp for my breathe. took in some of my emergency meds and laid down in bed until i fell asleep. since then, no more heavy coffee drinking for me.
as of now, i just drink like 3 cups of coffee in a week... my maximum. better than having attacks! hehe.

Yes, I think I drink too much coffee too. I have two cups in the morning and several cups while working, even have a cup during breaks. Drinking too much coffee isn't good because as the saying goes, "anything that is in excess is bad for you." It also gives you palpitations and insomnia. Although coffee has some beneficial factors in it too, it prevents water retention and it's a great anti-oxidants.

I don't drink coffee that usual. I prefer to have hot chocolates to drink. I've heard that coffee is not good for our health. I'm afraid of what it can give me soon. But I still eat or drink foods which has a touch of coffee in it. Mocha is one of my favorite. I love smelling it's aroma than drinking it.
