I can speak English and that is all unless you want to call our hillbilly redneck talk a different language. LOL

I don't know, occasionally I need it translated for me so it may be approaching that state (of being a different language). Of course, the question arises of "Is British English and American English the same language?"

I speak English, a tad bit of French, and some Spanish. Any other Spanish, and I would have to look in my Spanish textbook for the word or phrase.

Most Europeans speak two to three languages. But I am in South India. I did join French course, but because of grammer, I left it. In south india, most people speak 2 to 3 languages. I speak English, Hindi (national language), Tamil (neighbour state's language) and Telugu (Andhra Pradesh - a state. Kannada is my State Langauge and mother's tongue. I speak and read and write English and Kannada.

My native tongue is English. I have taken a year of French in High School, and another year in college. I also know a few words of Yiddish, and about three hundred words in Hebrew.

Of course I speak English, it's my primary language. Otherwise, I can manage with Japanese (3 years of study) and Polish, which my family speaks. I've studied Latin for 2 years so I suppose I can survive with it and partially understand other romance languages, but I'm better with reading & understanding Latin than speaking it.
