I really love Ubuntu, don't read me wrong, however, as far as coolness goes, I also like Vista's Aero feature.
I'm beginning to think that it comes down to whether or not I want to support Microsoft, the corporation, or Ubuntu, the open-source group.
Am I just being naive to technology, or is there something here I'm missing?

Ubuntu Beryl. Vista is an interesting attempt by Microsoft but both Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn and Apple's upcoming Leopard offer features that either compliment Vista's abilities or soundly defeat them. Beryl is one of those features although Aero is a much needed upgrade from XP's graphical interface.

I would still go with Ubuntu's Beryl System. Vista's Aero consumes memory more unlike in Beryl. Actually Beryl can be installed on all Linux distribution that can support it.
