I don't know much about eGold but I have often heard about it. I visited egold's website (http://www.egold.com) but it is only about money making programs (links). As far as I know, egold is like PayPal. But I am not sure.... Can someone explain a bit what eGold is?

Hi :
e-gold is a form of e-currency which is popularly used in HYIP, autosurf programs. It was also a popularly traded e-currency when DXGold was hot about 2 years ago.

The link to eGold's website is http://www.e-gold.com/ . The information there should explain everything you need to know. eGold is used by many in countries where PayPal doesn't reach. Also, many programs pay through eGold and not PayPal because PayPal is more strict about which companies it allows to use their service. Presently, eGold is facing charges of money laundering probably because they are not so strict. There are other threads on myLot about that topic.

Thanks for the link, charles63. I'll take a look at it. Are you a member of eGold? If yes, are you satisfied with their service? For me, eGold is new. Thus, I need to be very cautious about using their service.

Yes, I'm a member. Their service seems good to me, though I prefer PayPal. With eGold, your balance fluctuates with the price of gold and you have to use third-party services to redeem the gold. Also there is a modest charge for storing the gold that backs up the money you have on deposit. I think PayPal's service is more hassle free.
