will you consider having twins or triplets as your kids? or you simply prefer to have one at a time?
i like to have twins:) it may be weird for others but i like to have twins as children. if ever i'd be a mom soon, i like to experience having twins. i am not that young anymore so i'd like to produce two immediately.

I would love to have twins!! I've always wanted a twins. However, I'm not old enough to have children now. I'll consider to have twins someday. Somehow, I think twins get more attention in public places. Don't you think so?

yes, they do get the attention of the people around them. that's the magic of twins which is never outdated. moreso, if you will get a triplet. it seems to be such a wonder, people are still awed by the sight of them, yet they had been around for centuries. perhaps it is because, we just simply love the symmetry and the striking likeness. but even fraternal twins make people's heads turn. i really don't know the reason behind this.

twins will really come in doubles. double work, double happiness, double pain, double fun :) it is indeed hereditary to have twins and it runs with my mother's side... thanks for the reply swtnss.

That's when it's hereditary - when it's on the mother's side - through the female line. And it's non-identical twins athat are hereditary - identical twins just happen (though yes, they sometimes happen several times within a family) I used to work for the Australian Twin Registry and we did lots of research into many aspects of having twins (and poetic justice - I had twins of my own after that).
The reason non-identical twins are hereditary through the female line is that it depends on the number of eggs formed and ripened during ovulation. Men produce millions of sperm all the time, women usually produce one egg per cycle.

LOL usually you don't have a choice! I have twin boys who are 17 and their brother was 22 months when they were born. They have always been a joy - that's why the Chinese call the symbol for twins*Double Happiness*. It is a lot of work, but it's very rewarding. And they always had a friend to play with to amuse themselves - wheareas my elder son is more of a loner. Twins are indeed double happiness.

it is funny how we share the same thoughts. i love to have twins, too. it never came to be realized though. i have three surviving kids now and, they all came unto this world singly. i used to entertain the idea of having twins. it is like hitting two birds with one stone.

Hi gwenmari1029, after having and raising children of my own, I dont think I want to have twins. Even with one child at a time, it is already chaotic. What more to say two crying babies, I think I will just faint. But honestly, if I have another person to help me around, I think it will be wonderful to have twins.

i always pictured myself having one child but i was blessed with twin girls and i must say it is a joy to watch them grow up together, and it amazes me how much they understand each other, and plot against me when they want something :)

its real nice having twins because they develop on having to have somebody understand him/her. Its as if growing up seeing yourself on what have you become or what are you becoming. I wish i had a twin so that i have somebody to talk to who knows me better than anyone else and oh yeah we could switch partners too :)
