A fellow writer is entered into a contest. The lady helps children with special needs and if she wins, the prize could help her to continue her work. Right now, she is winning but I'd like to ask you to go to the link below and vote for her as well.
Her name is Debbie Feit and she's on the second page. I don't often do this type of thing but in this case, it's for a really good cause. When I was fourteen, I worked with mentally disabled kids briefly so this is sort of close to my heart.

I voted for Debbie. Anybody that wants to help children with special needs is a special person. I could not do that only because I would get to depressed. She is in second place right now and I hope she is someone that the people on myLot can help support. Thank you for bringing her to our attention.

Thank you for alerting me because just an hour ago, Debbie's numbers were over twice what Glamour Girl's was and I just sent an email to their director. Something is wrong because Glamour Girl only had around 2,900 a little over an hour ago and suddenly she has almost 8,000. That doesn't make sense. Thank you for your vote, though.

sodapop, you may be able to help her in a different way soon. I've got to email her about an idea I have to help raise funds for her project. If she agrees, I'll be posting the info on here so all of you can help.

I wanted to let you know that it says to vote only once. Well, by mistake I hit the vote button again right after my firt vote and it counted my second vote also. I just wondering maybe that's what is going on. People are just voting over and over and over.

Hey whimsystoryteller, I voted for debbie feit just now..I hope she wins she seems like she is devoted to her passion for helping kids with special needs. She is an angel in diguise as are you for helping her. Best of luck..I know shes gonna win!

Thanks to all of your votes, Debbie is really getting the chance to win. The last time I checked, she was way ahead but I haven't looked today. I truly hope she does win. Thanks for voting.

Hi whimsystoryteller,
I've just 'attempted' to vote for Debbie, and I hope my vote went through, as I'm not from the US. If not, I commend her, and you, for being a part of such a worthy cause, and hope she wins. I'm the grandma of a special needs (autistic) grandson, so this cause is important to me.

I am the mother of a four year old autistic boy and am proud to say that my vote is in for Debbie. She is heading towards the four thousand mark and I am sure she will win! :)

Thank you for your help. Actually, when I went on to check a little while ago, she has over 36,000 votes and the closest one to that is around 17,000. I hope that what I'm doing has helped. Even though only a few have commented on here, I think there must be a lot more voting because her numbers have jumped from only around 7,500 yesterday to the 36,000 mark.
I'm about to offer to do something else for her if she agrees. I create designs for things like t-shirts, coffee mugs and more and I want to create something for her group and give her a section on my store so people can buy the items and help support what she does in the process. It would give people a chance to help her efforts and make others aware of the challenges of special needs kids at the same time. I'll let you know if she agrees because I'm going to need help from others to get the word out.
