I have a very old doog. Almost ten years old now. Last week he just stop eating, won't move. Just lie down all day long. The vet said there was nothing wrong with him. We were worried though i was thinking maybe he's dying. Then last Tuesday morning while i was trying to give him food i was surprised to see that he ate all of it then afterwards he stood and walk around the house. He is active again play with my kids, running and barking. The vet said itr was probably that he's already old but i'm not completely convinced. I'm worried it'll happen again. What do you think was wrong with my dog? Would very much appreciate it if you could give me some info. Thanks

10 years old isn't really old for a dog..My last miniature Schnauzer lived to be 18 years old..Dogs can have days just we do and just need some time alone, or if anyone in the family was sick with the flu he could of had a touch of it and was just not feeling good. Try to keep him active and maybe go for more walks. If the weather has been hot that can be a reason also. But at least you did take him to the Vet to besure nothing was wrong...But 10 years old isn't really that old...

All that i can say is , when your old dog time is up , it will go eventually die , just let the nature take it course yea ... i think it is because the dog is getting old , might not have the enegry to do things already
