Anybody here have any military experience? Where have you been? What did you do? How long have you served?
I was in the US Army for 6 years, helicopter crewchief. Was stationed in Germany and Colorado and deployed to Iraq, Turkey, and Somalia.

In Singapore there is compulsory military service for all men for 2 years. used to be 2.5 years. But we will be called back at least once a year for duty until we are 40 or for officers 50. I was in the military police for awhile then went on to be a signaller.

Do you look at your time in the military as an enjoyable experience? As you probably know, military enlistment is voluntary in the U.S. (for now anyway), but I would recommend it to anyone. I am a woman who joined the Army when I was 17 and fought alot of gender barriers as well in my field of work.
