On May 15 my son was intentionally ran over by another man.The other man told a number of people that he was going to kill my son. There were witnesses that saw the man shoot at my son and ran him over with his truck. My son was taken to the hospital and the other man was taken to jail. Now the only problem with this whole picture is that the man was released on a signature bond and all the police reports have suddenly disappeared. Our esteemed chief of police and this man are good friends.I would like to know what I need to do to see that this man and his police friend are punished for what they have done.

I believe that what you have to do is go to the attorney general, or a higher up, like the mayor, and tell them the circumstances, and have them do an internal investigation! Of course, in our town, the chief of police, the attorney general, and the mayor are all friends also, so that wouldn't do any good! The only suggestion then would be to go to an outside source, and make the complaint!

if your law permits so file in a petition before constituional or superior court for marking investigation to some other agency or person

I would start with the local States Attorney - if you get no satisfaction there then go to the Attorney General. I wouldn't let it drop because your son could be in constant danger as long as this man is loose and thinks he can get away with anything he does. You may need an out of the area attorney. Good luck and I hope your son is OK.

I am unfamiliar with Arkansas law nor am I involved in law enforcement so hopefully someone who is either or both will respond to your topic. My suggestion is to contact a good attorney.
