Can someone help with this Italian word?

I just purchased a coat that is made in Italy and it says it's 100% Cupro but I can't find the Italian definition of this word? Does anyone know the definition of "cupro"?

it means cuppro, bras ( it is that yellow metal that looks like goldbutit is not as value as gold. butit is strange for a coat to be made of 'cupro'....are you sure this is the word?
