Do you get upset if your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfrien forgot your bithday?

My husband never forgets my birthday. Our anniversery and my birthday fall near eachother. Last yr he was soooo into remembering to get me cards from him, he forgot to get cards from the boys for me. That did upset me, ALOT.

I've had that happen before. But what's really cool is that he felt so bad and so guilty later that he bought me something ten times as nice. So, there are perks to having someone forget and then you reminding them later. Ha-ha!

I was more angry once that my partner forgot it, not a card, not even a phone call, when I did eventually see them I asked them what they were doing on my birthday and the response I got was, it was my day off I was watching tv, the relationship didn't survive as you can imagine. Now birthdays don't mean so much to me, just a year closer to the grave so it doesn't have much bearance if it's forgotten or not.
