I know this is something a lot of you can relate to. There are days when I can't help but sleep in class. When I was in High school in the Philippines it was ok since I had friends to talk to in class and I can pay attention. But now in university here in Canada I don't really have anyone to talk to in class so I can't stop myself from sleeping.
Any advice? haha....

Hi myahw20!!
lol.......so you are also suffering from the same problem. Well i tell you frankly i am in a university and i am a backbencher. Why?? Just to get some time to hide myself from the teacher and sleep under the table behind other fellows. Its really fun to sleep in the class. But its bad for our studies because once the lecture is lost....its never gonna come back. The best way to avoid is to (the way i avoid it) keep on writing something. Basically use you pen every time. You make some drawings of something in your class just to keep you awake and believe me after 2 weeks you wont be able to sleep in the class.

the only solution to that is start growing your circle of friends there so that you won't find time to become sleepy in your class. Friends can also be a big help to you especially if your friend is your classmate. Don't be a loner there in Canada it won't help you grow and adjust immediately in your new place.

the first you have to do is to sleep well at night :) you must be refreshed and recharged to be able to be active in class. you should also eat breakfast so that you won't feel hugnry and have the urge to sleep. and have friends as well. it is better to have someone to talk to when things are beginning to be boring. or better yet, recite to class. participate in the discussion so you won't think of any thing else but your lessons.
