My husband will fall asleep on the couch or in his lazy boy in the evenings. I used to wake him up so he could come to bed. Alot of times it takes two or three tries to get him up and going. Lately, I have been leaving him alone and just going to bed. I've found that sometimes it is nice having the bed to myself. (Plus no snoring!) Do you wake up your hubby or significant other up when the fall asleep on the couch? Or do you just leave them be to wake up on their own and come to bed?

I have such a hard time waking my hubby so i just leave him where he is, wherever that may end up being lol. I find that i get better sleep too if i just go to bed. I acually have had a bad time of snoring myself lately and he finds it hard to sleep when i get into it, so i would end up going to the couch myself so instead of me waking him and having him go to bed and then i end up on the counch i leave him go.

I know I snore sometimes too, but my husband will wake me up and complain about it. I wonder what he would do if I start waking him up everytime he snores? LOL

Depends on the time of day, my hubby can take 5 and ten minute 'cat-naps' off and on through-out the day. If he falls asleep in the evening while watching tv I let him sleep until his normal bed time then wake him, and encourage him to go to bed. He has no trouble falling back asleep in bed.

I wouldn't wake him up. I'll just let him continue sleeping wherever he had fallen asleep. The reason is that if I were to wake him up, it might disrupt his sleep so I'd just leave him alone.
So I'd probably just grab a blanket to cover him up if it's a little cold and then I'd say "Honey, sweet dreams!" :) Yeah, then I'd have the whole bed to myself, which is great too!

I think I would attempt to wake them and get them to come to bed. But if they didn't want to wake up, I would just cover them up and make them as comfortable as possible.

I wouldn't know. I don't have a husband because I'm a man. LOL. However, if I had a wife, then I would much rather have her not wate me up if I fell asleep on the couch.

My husband is a lot like the family cat. He can curl up just about anywhere and sleep soundly. He wakes up feeling just as refreshed as if he has slept in our bed. I sometimes nudge him once and tell him to go to bed, but after that I just let him sleep. On the other hand, if I fall asleep in a strange position or on the floor, the chances are good that I am going to wake up with a sore back and neck. My hubby is really great about waking me up and making me go to our bed so I don't have to suffer the next day.

My husband is the same, but if I fall asleep on the couch for too long, I'm not really rested and I'm stiff all over.

Well I don't have a husband or s/o but with my sister it depends on how she is sleeping. If she's in some weird position I'll wake her because if I don't she'll wake up in a lot of pain. That being said if she's in a semi-comfortable position I leave her where she's at.

this happens most of the time lately. my mother in-law bought this chair where you can really relax and whenever someone sits on it, s/he will easily fall asleep. and my husband has been sitting on it most of the time after we eat dinner and as expected, he'd dose off...
i'd wake him up so that he can transfer to our bed. it is more comfortable and relaxing for him to sleep in bed than in that chair. he can stretch his body on our bed. as much as i wanted to have the bed on my own, i just can't bear to see my husband having a backache because he slept on the chair :)

I am hardly home to sleep with him, as I work midnight shift. But before I would just leave him. It was way too much work to get him up. He would wake up himself around 2 or 3 am and come to bed anyway. That gave me all that extra time with all the covers and a nice bed all to myself..LOL.

Truthfully, I do wake my husband. If I don't he ends up coming up to bed a few hours after I fall asleep. He wakes me and the dog up and she starts barking. Now I'm up and can't fall back asleep so I'd rather live with the snoring for a while before I fall asleep rather than wake up afterward and not be able to fall back asleep.

I use to always wake my fiancee up when she fell asleep on the couch. I really like having her in bed with me. These days though I just leave her be because if I wake her up to come to bed she is really grouchy about it. Sometimes she won't even talk to me the next day because of my waking her up or I get to hear about how she couldn't get any sleep. Its safer to get her to come to bed early then let her fall asleep on the couch and have to try to wake her up.

I will wake him up. I love to wake up having him next to me and he has also said that he wants me to wake him up. Once I did not coz i went to read in bed before and i fell asleep. When he finally came around he was sad that I was not next to him *sweet*

I try waking him up.But sometimes I cant get him up.I bet if I pushed the smoke alarm button that woudl get him up.LOL.But mybe again it might not.Sometimes when I do get him up he sits up for a few minutes then lays back down again on the couch .So sometimes I will just go to bed and eventually he will come to bed. There has been times that I have woken him up and he has got up and went to bed but in the morning doesnt recall me waking him up or of him going to bed.So maybe he is kind of sleep walking.LOL

I don't really like to sleep alone on bed espcially when I know that he's home. He often felt asleep on the couch because of tired from work. Normally, I'll let him sleep until it's time to go to bed upstair. And I have to wake him up since sleeping on the couch the whole night isn't really comfortable either.

My husband falls asleep on the couch quite frequently and I just leave him alone. But for his benefit, he suffers from insomnia, and if I woke him he would never fall back to sleep. It's better for him if I just leave him alone. Then again, if I got him up to come to bed, he would keep me awake all night with his tossing and turning, so I guess it benefits us both.
