Which is better, PHP or ASP?

I think php is better. because php general language. they can operation in many OS. but asp just can operation in windows OS.

I prefer PHP over ASP. PHP is much faster in execution than ASP and also it is economical to develop a website in PHP rather than ASP. On the security front PHP do provide many efficient methods to make your site secure but still as said in other posts it is how the programmer to decide how much security he can give to the site through his coding. This fact remains the same for all languages.

The aspect that you need to know is whether you want more secure webpage or not?PHP less secure than ASP but the language is very difficult.But if you prefer easy and not secure just use PHP because it is more common this day that everybody use.But for me I prefer using ASP.

i don't know much about these server-side languages, but i have heard and i also think that php is better, so i will prefer php.
