yellow line down lcd screen

A thin yellow line just appeared on the right hand side of my lcd monitor. It goes from the top to the bottom. I bought this monitor a few months ago. I have heard that this may be a dead or stuck pixel - but this one is a whole line. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of fixing it - or if anyone has been able to fix something like this, before i take it back to get it replaced.
