Why would He make them out of meat?" - Homer Simpson.
I heard a comic say that line on a youtub standup and I almost peed in my pants. I can't help but agree....meat soooo good. I love a good primerib well-marbled cooked medium rare and seared on a grill.
Goodness!

if i happen to meet a lion in the street, then i will likely meet my demise - the lion will take a bite, probably more than one.

I am a meat eater. Prime rib is good however a good ribeye is a good cut of meat for me. I cooked a pork picnic today and we are well fed tonight. We ate chicken last night and that went well with the vegetables. A good balance is what we seek and so am glad that we are are not vegetarian.

i think that God intended us to eat animals. its in the Bible. but as stewards of animals and pretty much anything on Earth, as He also intended, we should make the killing of animals for food as humane as possible. i think that's what's been the getting the goat (pardon the pun) of societies like PETA and other animal rights activists. but we are allowed to eat meat!

Well said!
We should be acting as stewards. I do think that sometimes PETA takes it too far and such, but as humans, it's easy for us to get caught up in the situation - especially one that's as emotionally charged as animal rights.
Thank you for the eloquent response.
