I have been in the business for past 8 years, even before i get marry it seems i cannot sleep without thinking about how will be the result on my next day sales, every day, every week, and even months, i was very intimidated about working in my small business and wanted it grow fast, but sometimes, when i stop thinking, i was then realized that i missed part of my son grown up, and how he like to eat... and it felt sorry to me that im not even thinking him instead im thinking how can i bring him in Disneyland. You, hope you can suggest me on helping out myself to bring back the years, i failed to give my son...

Hello smcruz,I am very busy with my business as well. My sons are now 18 and 15. Besides work, my husband's and my time was dedicated to the both of them. We were very involve in their schools. My husband was their head coach for both football and baseball and I was the team mom. All our life just revolved around them. Now that they are older eventhough I get very busy, I don't feel guilty because I know that we gave them all the time in the world. We didn't give them room to ever say that they are not loved and cared for. Till now, we are very close with our sons, hugging and kissing them and of course communication. I told one of my business partner that if the business I'm doing right now got presented to me when my sons were young, I don't think that I would have been doing it as much. I didn't even want my husband to get a second job even though it was pretty tight. I didn't want him to lose a year of two of the children's life. I am not telling you not to do your business. Do what you have to do, but don't neglect your son. Assure him that you love him and what you are doing is for his future. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for the better. Don't feel bad, just make sure that you will not lose focus when it comes to your son and your husband. When I get really busy, my husband and my sons call me on it. Make time. You have to be balanced. Don't get burnt out. Take care of yourself and your family. God bless you. Be in touch.

Welcome to mylot friend. That's too bad. You don't have to choose between your business and your much treasured family. Simply allot some time off away from your business for pure family pleasures. You've run your business successfully for the past 8 years. I know you can manage this one. Just a friendly reminder, family comes first. There's no more important business than family.
