I can't eat and become nauseatic. Are you experiencing migraine too? What medicine do you normally take when it attack you? There's only one medecine i take when it attack me- "FLANX FORTE". I take Maxalt Quick Dissolve for my migraines. My neurologist told me that I have chronic migraines and snap headaches. It comes down to I get headaches in my sleep and by the time I wake up it is so bd that my body blocks the pain from me for a few days. Sleep always helps. Sometimes I sleep for a day or longer at a stretch. If you can find out what triggers your migraines then you can avoid them better.

i really cannot tell what triggers my migraine. sometimes too much heat or a room full of people causes headache. oftentimes i just wake up feeling that terrible pain either in my right or left side of my head. presently, my doctor gave me arcoxia 120mg, a very strong prescription which causes dizzines and nausea but after an hour or so the headache is gone. but i'm hoping that i don't need to take medicine to make the pain go away...thanks for responding

I was wondering---have you ever tried Immetrex or Maxalt. They take care of migraines fairly quickly and they don't cause near the side effects you said that you experience.

I also read that if you take vitamin B2 that it will seriously decrease the number of time you have migraines. Have you tried that?

Oh I sympathsize with you. I have been having migraines since I was like eight or nine. My oldest child suffers from them. Unfortunately, I inherited them from my mother and her mother. Whenever I feel a headache coming on, I usually take large amounts of Advil. I know it is not good but it helps. If it is too late and it is a full blown attack, I usually have some wacky tobacky and it takes the edge off the pain. It is legal in my state and I have a license to have it. If I don't have any, I usually go to bed with no sounds completely dark with a cool washcloth on my head. You could also try reflexology, what you do is have your s/o rub in between your fingers, thumb included, and it will dull the sensation down some. I have tried the prescription meds and they worked for a while then quit. I found out through trial and error that I am alergic to imitrex. My throat closes up and I went into mild shock. I feel your pain and I myself suffer from it.

I also forgot to add that you need to know what triggers them. I know if I am exposed to the heat too long they come on. There are certain foods that trigger them. You just need to journal what you had to eat and what you were doing at the onset of your migraine and then you will know what to avoid eat too much of or doing too much of as well.

thanks for the tips. my migraine usually attack when the weather is extreme if its too hot or if its too cold. also when i'm expose to a crowd of people looking at them going to and fro trigger my migraine. also i think it is also because i have insomia. the average sleep i have at night is 3 hours.

Sometimes a certain smell will trigger my migraine, like strong cooking odors. I'm not sure if I have the real migraines, but my symptoms are very similar to yours. So, I guess they're real. For the most part, I take two Tylenol the minute I feel a migraine coming on, and it usually takes up to four hours to feel relief. Sometimes a warm or hot tub bath helps relax me enough to keep the migraine from developing. Best of luck with the migraines, I know how painful they can be.
