Have you tried brushing your teeth using salt?

Well, during the time of our ancestors, there's no toothpaste. So the alternative, salt. Salt also has fluoride that is also in toothpastes. Sometimes, brushing your teeth using toothpaste does not guarantee all of us to make our teeth strong. Using too much of it gives the reverse effect.

Yes,I had tried it once looking at some of my friends doing it.But realised after vomitting that it was a powdered Colgate and not salt. They had fooled me.Salt is an important component required for cleaning teeth. But only in a very small amount.

Yes I do try brushing my teeth with salt, just for my curiousity as what i've heard from older people that using salt as toothpaste gel substitute would be a great help and it does works same as the original toothpaste we commonly use. :-)

No. Never. Why to use salt for brushing our teeth? We have the toothpaste, so.... I didn't know this new, so, thank you. It's always very interesting to know some news about the way of living of our ancestors. I don't know if you are right, maybe salt has really a lot of fluoride, but I think I'll go on brushing my teeth with my toothpaste. I think it's better.

Hmmm I've never heard of brushing teeth with salt. I'd think that after awhile it would wear down the enamel on the teeth because salt is quite abrasive. ~Kythe42 http://lemurianphoenix.blogspot.com

No. I haven't tried brushing my teeth with salt. I never tried brushing my teeth with salt. What I only tried is that i was able to gargle with salt and it even tastes awful. It's like i wanted to vommit. I hope salt really helps with removing tooth decay so i could try one.
