I'm referring to all the different accent in general! For example what so nice about the English accent that non matter what they say they could make it sound so intelligent or important...Like i've watched the movie Four Wedding and a Funeral this morning and i noticed how often Hugg Grant swore and still it sounded good when he say it... do i only feel this myself or there are other people who share my opinion?

Being British I am very happy that you think we sound intelligent and important....you have boosted my ego...!!
However I am also a Cockney and our accent is not at all like the Queens English that Hugh Grant will use, perhaps because he was a public schoolboy. However swearing is the same all over the world I suppose but some people just manage to make it sound better.
We have many different dialects in England and they all have there own charm as I feel there is in your part of the world.

hi, good evening, oasis_9.nice to meet you again.i am so interested in this topic.hehe.
you know what, different people come from different places speak with quite different accent even though they speak the same language.
two of my foreign teachers are speak english well. but sometimes i can understand one of them tell in english, but i can't understand the other foreign teacher talk.do you know why? because they have differen accent in same language. the foreign teacher who come from America is quite different from the foreign teacher who come from Britain.
hehe, but i know i should understand both what they tell in class.hehe.
thank you very much.

There is a different accent when Sri Lankans speak English and when an Englishman speaks English. But sometimes Sri Lankans try to immitate the British to have more prestige and end up with funny results. For instance "day" might sound like "die"

my husband is English and I like his accent, although some words I don't understand and even his friends have to ask him to repeat them LOL he knows how to say it best. A lot of people can't do this, even if English is their mother tongue. I agree with you, Hugh Grant is a good actor, who knows how he speaks in real life, but in movies he did it so well.
