Have you ever been bullied? or have you ever bullied anyone?

what do you prefer: victim or bully? - help is usually needed with bullies, cause the victim is always alone.

Have you ever been bullied? How did you feel? or Have you ever bullied anyone? Then too, how did you feel. were you guilty or you felt very powerful and superior? as for me, i have never bullied anyone, and since i am a medium type nobody has ever bullied me either. i usaully avoid such circumstances, where i believe that i will fall in trouble. and to avoid my own exertion on others, i try to have maximum control on myself. This discussion reminds me of 'Matilda'. anyone watched that movie?

I was always the second shortest kid in my class until I started high school. I was bullied pretty much every year until my senior year in high school. I was one of those people who tried to blend in with the wall. I was really shy and didn't want to get into any trouble at school because my father would have kicked my*ss! The inferior people who chose to deflect their inferiority by bullying people like me made me one of their targets. I just hated when September would come because I knew school would be starting and it would be another year of the same thing. It is a shame that some people suffer from this during their entire lives. I am glad to hear that some schools are starting to deal with this issue.

That is why bullies pick on smaller kids or the ones that they don't think will fight them. I have heard that if you punch them, they will leave you alone, but I never tried it.

i am glad to hear that too. i just dont understand why people pick on those who cant fight them. its an unfair game, and even if they win they know that it was through unjust means.

I have been bullied and I have bullied others before. However, those bullying times happened when I was in my Junior and Senior high schools. It didn't feel good when being bullied and although it was fun bullying others but in the end, it didn't feel good as well. In short, say no to bullying others.

I used to walk to elementary school, another student would ride his bike, and would always ride over my feet, until one day I clotheslined him off the back of it.Another girl in junior high would cat-call at me all the time and call me names until i slugged her in the arm with my book bag, which wasn't pretty, cause my book bag was like a monolith all on it's own. So, all the bullies I have encountered, just needed to be stood up to.

all bullies need to be stood up, otherwise they take undue advantage of their victim.

i was always the one that was picked on. Ever since i was a child, i was different than everyone else. i didn't get into fads and trends. i did my own thing. This often led to ridicule. i was always one to stand up for others being bullied, too. i didn't take that $hit. i didn't care if the bully then turned on me. At least i would be helping someone else out.

even i was like you, i never went with the trends, but my friends never picked on me, for being different.

Being now quite an older guy, I vaguely recall being set on by the local school hard men, not to sure what I was made of,unfortunely for them I could hold my own, there are however occasions which I regret, with the benefit of hindsight I would have not done a lot of things I regret now I am older.

I was bullied as a child right till we moved house and moved out of the area. I started a new school and made lots of friends. The one girl who bullied me all through my junior school years was a horrible horrible girl. She wasn't anything special, but she taunted me every day about being small, about not having the latest clothes, about not being pretty, anything she could. She made my years at Junior School a living hell. One day, she and a few of her "groupies" grabbed me, dragged me into the girls toilets and literally flushed my head. They held my head down in the toilet bowl and flushed. I reported her for that and she got into a LOT of trouble, but the bullying didn't stop. It only stopped on my last day at that school when she apologized. I didn't accept that apology. She'd done too much to me over the years. I'd been scared of going to school every day for 2 years, and her apology, quite frankly, wasn't even sincere.

I am most a victim. I attract agression and attacks, may be because of my appearance. I allways look vulnerable and still look the real reason to it. I am quiet person, silent, dont like to involve in conflictable situations, but it happens sometimes:-(

people specially like to attack those, who are quite and mind thier own business. i dont know why. maybe because it gives them a powerful feeling. if they attacked someone of thier own size, 9/10 they wont win.

I've been bullied almost all in my school life. I was laughed at alot, and was made fun of. And I was also gotten into trouble by others for no reason! However, since i was new in high school, in my freshman year, I wasn't bullied at all. But after that time, I was bullied, annoyed and harassed again regularly, and this time it was for a specific reason. It was a certain anime that I liked when I was there, and i'm not even going to be specific because I don't want those who recognize me find me out because of what I was made fun of. School life was hell, and yet i've never even bullied anyone. I kept quiet and out of the way, but they still get on my nerves. I still remember that someone somehow hacked into my school account and read about what I was going to send to Dear Abby! But since I couldn't do anything about it because I would get in trouble, and since most of the time they get away scot-free, I had to suppress AND repress my anger, even to the point of me taking high blood pressure pills! Even today, that same resentment still wants payback. Perhaps I should've written a journal while I was still little. Finally, in order to fight those jackasses that wore me down emotionally and spiritually, I had to kill myself on the inside, as in become apathetic and numb. I already stopped paying attention as if, although I don't have the right words for this, it's as if I just didn't care about life anymore. Nothing mattered anymore. Borderline depression. At least now that i've graduated, I still have that same repressed anger, and i'm still taking those high blood pressure pills, thanks to those school bully punks. At least they didn't threaten me for my lunch money or beat me up. They tore at me on the inside instead.

I've seen Matilda, it's a cool movie. I prefer the book though! Anyway, back to your discussion: yes, I was bullied. For ten years actually. And no, I have never bullied anyone because I know what bullying can do to a person and their self esteem.

i know it not only degrades the person, but the mental torture usually remains even after a lot of years. and i prefer the movie.

I was bullied throughout my entire school life, and it disgusts me that anyone can think it's excusable to treat another human being like that. bullies are scum.

if they're in the bowl, they need to be flushed.

That's right. Bullies are the diarrha in the toilet bowl of the abusive/aggressive type of people.

I was bullied A LOT when I was in high school and it made me feel terrible. They'd scream out the words "HAIRY" or "BUGS" because they thought I had too much hair on my arms and because I wore glasses. I couldn't go anywhere in school without hearing words like that shouted across the cafeteria, in the middle of assemblies and in stairwells. It was terrible. There were days I didn't want to go to school because, in the middle of study hall or a test, they'd scream it out. They'd tape signs on my locker and scream it from their cars when I was walking down the street afterschool. I hated my life during those years.

i can understand your feelings. but like them, you should have screamed out too. anything just to show that you are not someone to be easily violated.

I have been bullied by my then friend. i have bullied my cousin sister. I have really learnt something from both. Dont be too submissive to be bullied and Dont be that dominant to bully somebody else. I have experienced both self-sympathy and guilt respectively because of this.

you took out your anger on your cousin sister, which was pretty unfair, but then you feel guilt for it. great to know that one experience was enough for you.
