I met my S/O on an online forum that we both belonged to. He sent me an IM one day and we started chatting. I didn't know right away that he was the one for me, but there was a definite instant connection. It felt like we had known each other for years. ~Kythe42 http://lemurianphoenix.blogspot.com

I met my husband at a family get together on Thanksgiving Day about 15 years ago. I had alot of bad relationships in the past and I also have an infant child that I was raising by myself. I was looking to meet a good guy friend but my husband said he fell in love with me the first day he seen me. We dated for three years after that and then got married. I waited a few days and had him over a few times but he just grew on me, LOL.

Yes. I actually wasn't interested in my husband at all other than being friends. He is so loving and sweet though, unlike any other guys I had ever been around. I just couldn't say no.

I have to answer this only because it proves that we should listen to our first instincts! My EX-husband and I met in college. I hated him from the get go. He was rude, ugly, obnoxious and annoying. Those were his good points. I ended up being stuck with him as my "big brother" in the fraternity I pledged so I had no choice but to spend time with him. Oddly enough I started to just feel sorry for him. He was so .. useless. LOL I used to tell him he grew on me like mold. And then.. for some strange reason I married it. While I would never take it back cuz I have 3 great kids... .I honest to God realize now that we should go with our first instincts when we meet a person. LOL

I met my husband online. We are from the same country but different cities. He was my friend's "online" boyfriend that time. I didn't knew him until my friend dumped him for somebody else online too. We talked one day and we had so much good times, that it became a habit of us to chat everyday. He courted me and I said yes to him over the phone, he visited me then in our city and the rest is history. I thank God for that day that we met. We are sharing such a wonderful life together with our 2 kids.

We met in my karate class - he's the head instructor. At first, I was very cautious, as he's quite a bit older than I am. We hung out for a while and became very close, and now I don't know what I'd do without him!

I met my boyfriend online on a single site, I was dating someone already and was closing my account when he wrote to me and asked me to go to a boxing match that I had been wanting to go and my then boyfriend did not want to take me to it, so I accepted to the boxing match and thought no harm in going with a fellow boxing lover. Then he called me up the next day and invited me to a baseball game, I love baseball and thought the same thing that my then boyfriend did not like sporting events and something as simple as a baseball game could not turn out romantic. Unsure what he did, but the very next day I broke up with my boyfriend and we started dating, that was over a year ago and things are going strong.

I met my significant other at a friend's house. It was an instant attraction, over 16 years ago, and I have not let go since.

Wow, We met when my son was 3, he was a hockey coach, we stumbled on each other around work and the ice rink from time to time. My son was 7, when my ex moved out. Myself and the SO were barely acquaintances at the time about a year after my husband moved out. My son went through a growth spurt and about 6 weeks before the end of the season, my son out grew his hockey skates. The now SO worked across the hall from me and had 2 sons who played hockey, I remember walking down to his office to see if he had a pair a size or so larger. He went home after lunch and brought some skates back with him. At that point we became friends, we did not even kiss or at least a year after that. We have been best friends since. My son is now 21.

In the school. When I first saw her I was in love with her. But I gave myself some time before I told her about my feelings for her. I just wanted to feel what actually happened to me and what should be done, and when I was convinced that I can't fully understand this without involving her I proposed her.

I donno whether you know about arranged marriages in india.I had arranged marriage with my husband. So i met him in my home with my parents.Actually in this marriage parents choose the person whom they think will be suitable for the girl or boy.after that we tend to decide. So it was our first meeting.& yes whenwe met we knew that we are there for each other.Isn't is surprising.

I first meet my now husband in Jr. high....back then I didn't notice him much, we were both really shy. Years later when we were both in our mid 20's we met again, weird enough his voice is what attracted me to him, there was just something in his voice. We didn't see or speak to each other again until a few weeks later. The whole time we were on the date I was thinking "his voice sounds different, wheres the something it had in it before?". Later I realized I was feeling his huge heart rather then really listening to him speak. So really it was his heart and how much he obviously cares about everyone that attracted me, and I did know this was going to be a forever relationship.

lol, I was leaving a bar and this guy grabbed me so instantly I turned around and knee-ed him thinking it was this guy who was coming on to me all night, and well it wasn't, lol, so I took the poor bloke out to dinner as an apology and well the rest is history.
