Do you think you would have gotten more toys or perks or attention if you had been? Would things have been easier for you?

no way... only child sucks big time... you need a friend to fight, to grow up with... and with whom to share every thing... I think that parents that decides to have only one child are a little bit selfish:)

not all parents decides to have one child, like with my aunt she has a kid, but she like to have another one, but due to the age and doctor's advice. he prefer to have one. she didnt intent to have a one child. its the situation that dictate it. so not all is a bit selfish. and for me GOD plans all of this, so do you think GOD is selfish?

My mom lost a baby when I was 2 or 3 (can't remember) and after that she was unable to have any more children, so it is not always a case of choosing to only have one child.

Yes you both are right... there are situation where it's not possible... but what about the others... how about the parents that even if they can they decide not to have another child... Isn't it a little selfish?

YES...but that was after seeing the truth that being an only child is like a curse. (of course i dont blame the parents). but as far as i see with my cousin (he is the only child), yes he get the whole attention, more toys, more time, but something in his life is lacking that is the fight with the siblings, doing things with your brother, sisters. and the joy the they bring. so i think it is more enjoyable life will be when you have a brother that can kick on the face, sister that will shout at you and a little kids that you bully all the time. thats life!

Actually I was an only child and always wished I had a brother or sister to talk to and relate to. It also would have taken some of the pressure off of me to be the best at everything. I am not sure that being an only child got me more toys or perks though.

at times, yes! when i think that my brothers are more of a pain to me then i wished that they never were born. but most of the time, i appreciate that i have them. they may not be the best brothers that i am looking for but they have brought more joys and happiness to my life. they have been my supporters when i have to do things on my own. they helped me in every way that they can making my life a lot more better than when i am alone.
