I am going to be hosting my first 2 (20 players)table home game so I need to buy a new set of good quality poker chips. All I have right now are a mish-mash of cheapo plastic sets picked up over the years. So what kind, weight, denominations and how many do I need to buy? I really don't want the pictured incident to occur over cheap chips.

I know this was posted five months ago, but I thought I'd offer some info for anyone else who happens upon this. I bought my clay chips at Target, believe it or not. 300 chips in a silver suitcase with two decks of cards, a dealer chip and SB and BB chips. I don't remember what it cost, but it wasn't expensive and they're very nice chips. In fact, I bought another one a month later so we'd have enough chips for our home games. Check out your local Target for them.

I was lucky, I was given my set of chips as part of a gift, I am not really sure where they come from. Good luck in getting a great set.
