im at a loss here at what to do.i needed some extra cash so i took a job that was offered to me the guys running a small buisiness and lost his driveing lincenes for drunk driveing.so i get payed to drive him around.sounds good so far but when i turned up for work at 7 am i met this scruffy looking man who was haveing a beer for brekfast.after about 10 beers we went out to work not even an hour went by and yep he told me to pull into the pub this went on all day and when we were driveing around he had an esky with beer and wine in it.at the end of the day he paid me i went home.well a week went by the days were basically the same.so eventually i spat the dummy i told him im not going to take him to the pub im here to work after a lot of yelling and a big argument with a drunk he agreed not to go to the pub .so next day i noticed a very large esky in the back of the car .yep nothing changed i droped him off at home he was very drunk he fell over injured him self pritty bad cut eye broken fingers ect well i was trying to help him up and he started accuseing me of hitting him i told him to shut up and let him know if i had hit him he wouldnt be talking now .that really upset me i hate quitting but really theres only so much im prepared to put up with .so now its been 4 days since i last seen him but he rings me every morning its like i can tell hes drunk by the way he talks ect he askes me to go there to drive him i say no he then get angry yells and says he will drive him self not good i tell you he can hardly walk less alone drive and of course theres a major guilt trip attached to it.you know the one if i have an accident and kill some one its your fault
well theres no chance im going back there im not putting up with that crap ive made the police aware of the problem but they said we have to catch him in the act of drunk driveing so theres not a lot they can do unless they catch him.
i put up with him for 2 weeks and yer i got my cash i was after but looking at the way im feeling now and the fact i know theres probally going to be a major car accident soon with injurys or worse it just wasnt worth it.
i guess i will just have to back up my own words i say to him when he rings with his guilt trips in the morning NOT MY PROBLEM.

Well, you are in a bad situation! You did right in refusing to drive for him! And as far as him threatening to drive himself, threaten him back, and tell him you will tell the authorities! And if this will hurt his business,it's his fault, because if he doesn't have the decency to stop drinking, he shouldn't be running a business to begin with! The best thing for him would be, to get caught again so he will "wake up", to what he is doing! Before he hurts someone!

Perhaps you might like to call the police so he can be charged with being drunk & disorderly or something similar to that.
Do you have an answering machine, get one if you don't.
Leave it on, and let the machine take the messages.
