I'm looking for some Chinese poetry. I already have some books here--one is really good, but the other is a terrible translation. I want to find some Chinese poetry online with good English translations. I need to have the Chinese and English next to each other (I actually want to learn to read the Chinese).
Anyone know of some web sites with this?
Thanks.

Actually,it's not easy to learn Chinese poetry well even to a Chinese.Though it's concise and comprehensive. It's no need to learn Chinese poetry,if you just want to learn to read the Chinese or make some daily communion.
If you surely want to learn it,I suggest that you'd learn basic characters first.

Hello, laowai. I guess that you have studied Chinese for some years to be able to read some Chinese poems. Chinese culture is really great. We have had a lot of famous ancient poets like DuFu, BaiJuyi, and some other famous poets. I used to read Chinese ancient poem, but not now as my interest is English. By the way, many parents teach their children to read poems written by poets from the Tang and Song Dynasties. I did the same to my son when he was a little boy...
