do you get your left foot out of bed first, or your right, or do you swing both out at the same time with your knees together (as they encourage young ladies to do when exiting a car. anyone? I swing both out together.

My beds pretty high off the ground also so I would have to say I hit the floor with both feet. And when I am running late I hit the floor with both feet running as they say. This discussion reminds me of my nephew saying one time he never wakes up on the wrong side of the bed because he always has his bed pushed against a wall ever since he was little. I told him that he could have been waking up on the wrong side every day since than.

None of the above. Since my bed is a mattress on the floor, I sit up and then kind of crawl out. It's much safer considering my vertigo problems. Also fun for falling into. =) I never was good at remembering to do that whole "holding my knees together" thing. Not much of a lady I guess.

Generally it depends on what side of the bed I got in on in the first place. Left foot, left side or right foot, right side, unless I'm getting out from my stomach (not very often.)

Mine is the left foot first cos' that's the side of the bed I always sleep on. Plus, I have to put one foot first before the other cos' my rather large dog is often sleeping at the foot of my bed so I have to make sure I don't step on her!
