What would have happned if julius ceasar wasnt killed??

In a class my teacher was telling us how julius caesar was stabbed in his back by his own friend brutus all because he and the fellow senators thought that caesar was too ambitious..but.what would have happened if he wasnt killed?would he have really brought slavery upon rome??

julius caesar is the roman general,and he want to be dictator, if he is not killed, he become dictator of roman.
