King James has taken over the eastern conference. Does this signal the end of the once mighty detroit pistons with billups, webber murray and mcdyess having the choice to return or go elsewhere next season?

it may be the start of their end because king james is starting his reign over the eastern conference. if they don't do much with their lineup..i guess it's over...

I do not think that their dynasty is over as they still have a very good team and may only need to add and subtract a little to be back on top again. The Eastern conference is starting to get better so they may have more difficulty than in years past to get back to the Finals. I am glad that Detroit did not go all the way as I really dislike Webber because of the baby behavior he had in Philly.

Not yet!!!! Only that LeBron was more hungry for the title. If Chauncey and C-Web sign new contracts, Detroit could clinch the 2008 title.

I think the pistons are still a pretty good team especially if they retain the players you mentioned. Their dynasty in the East will still be alive, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll always be the East's finals representative...their dynasty will still be alive meaning they will still be consistent top contenders for the East title. I do think the problem lies with the coach, Flip seems to choke in crunchtime. and now that it's official flip will be back, it's hard to tell whether they can get past the Eastern Finals series next year.

I don't think the Pistons can do it anymore. Their players are getting old. The eastern conference is getting worse. Greg Oden and Kevin Durant would go to the west. These two are great talents that can become franchise players. Iverson also transferred to the west.
