I am from India and I know that this is not uncommon in India even now.Not only parents, other senior members of the fami.y take it upon themselves to "correct" youngsters of the family.I think that I personally would not like it.Once grown up,people should be treated as such and not be "told" things. That said though,I would say that I would not take it too much to heart because I am 32 yrs old and even now my parents do give us suggestions like that.I think we should learn to respect other people's opinions but also be firm in our ways if they are not wrong. If you do think that it seems wrong or out of character to do certain things, then you should certainly improve but even if you are right then there is no reason for you to get agitated about because that shows that you are not mature either. The best thing is to smile and take it in your stride and not let these things affect your pride.Goodluck:)
