Do you feel that the school can refuse a child the right to attend because of there past backgroud ?
Our oldest daughter is not our biological daughter , she had a rough road when she was younger and quit school in grade six , when she moved in with us , I wanted her to have her education as you can't get anywhere in life without and education anymore . It took me almost seven months to have her enrolled in the school as they didn't want to accept her and said they had the right to refuse her based on what they knew about her past . She never did anything major in the past ,not attending class , not doing work and being mouthy with the teachers on occasions but she was never viloent or anything . She is a really good child and although she has a past , don't we all ? I finally did get her in school but she is not allowed to attend any functions and is being treated differently from all the other children and I disagree with this . I have got a hold of the school board but they haven't done anything about it and was just wondering if you agree with the school in refusing a child the right to an education or do you believe in second chances ?
She is a really good child and just needed to know someone actually cared about her . I have taken her in our home and she has been living with us for awhile and she is one of our own now . I love her as much as my other four children and will do anything to help her out and have told her that she will alwasy have a home to call home because every child deserves a chance in life no matter what kind of background they had . Do you agree with this or not ?

yes, there should be to those kids that have a violent history. this is to protect the othere kids. but this child should be given a second chance and by you helping her, she need to understand that her behaviour before will not be tollerated this time. i wish her the best

I hate it when schools do that. I feel that the school should not refuse any child who wants to study. They are there to provide education no matter what. I would fight for my child's right to education and wherever it may take, I would still fight it out even just to prove a point.
