I live in south Georgia where all the wildfires have been lately. It has been horrible here, the elderly have been told not to go outdoors unless necessary. The roads are smokey, its just been miserable. Well this weekend we got a miracle, it rained the entire day Saturday. The local churches have been having prayer meetings to ask for rain, well it looks like someone was listening to them and answered. It was so wonderful to see all the rain. It may have inconvenienced some but who cares, this is what south Georgia needed. The forcast is calling for on and off rain all week! I surely hope it helps with all the fires and clears up our air soon and maybe even pulls us out of this drought!
Hows the weather in other places? Are you ever this happy when it rains?

It was like that here (in south Florida) about a week or two ago. No rain (we were finally pounced on with water this past weekend) and a lot of forest fires. And there was a storm off the shore that was just blowing wind - so as a result of that there was smoke everyyyywhere and I lost my voice for a day and others (children and the elderly) were advised not to go outside.
I'm generally not happy when it rains since it frizzes my hair (lol) and often ruins my plans, but everyone was grateful when it came on strong this past weekend. We need the water of two tropical storms (or I suppose one CAT 2-ish hurricane) to make up for all drought we've had. Craziness!

We were so happy to get some rain and hope to get more. We got almost 2 inches, but much more is needed to take us out of the drought. Droughts in the hot summer months are common for south ga though but not like this, I think it had been more than a month since the last time we had rain. So bring it on!
