Seasons 5-7

What are your thoughts on seasons 5-7 of West Wing? You might know that the original creator and writer of most of seasons 1-4 Aaron Sorkin left the show after the fourth season and at least in my view there was a pretty significant jump in the style and quality of the show in seasons 5-7 compared to seasons 1-4.
Maybe it's just that I know Sorkin didn't write seasons 5-7 that I don't think of them as highly as I do of seasons 1-4, but I think they are notably weaker. Nonetheless, they are still better than most everything else on tv, so I still love watching them.

I couldnt agree with you more. Sorkin is a great writer.. and you could notice the difference between the 3rd and the 6th seasons (for example). I still scratch my head on why Studio 60 was cancelled.. but thats another story. All that being said.. West Wing was one of the best shows that ever was on TV. The last season wasnt bad.. I got a chuckle on the closing of the last show of the last season.. its the same closing that was on the 1st show of the 1st season.. Hey....... what do you think.. a West Wing Movie??? Come on.. it has to be better then the Simpsons.
