Could I be going through menopause?

I'm in my early thrities. My greandmother went through "the change," barely into her thirites as well. I am having hot flashes, sweats, fainting feelings, tiredness, and mood swings like crazy. I'm not pregnant.
I haven't told my husband yet cause it would upset him. He wants a family and I really don't know about it. We've been waiting for our finances to get better to start a family, but if we can't have children, we'll be okay.

i found a good site for you that lists some additional things about early menopause..maybe go check it out and if more of the things arent applying to you maybe make an appointment with a dr to get checked out..could be any number of medical reasons why you are going through these things and better to be checked out then not ..:) hope it helps give you a little information if not any comfort http://www.earlymenopause.com/index.htm

Thanx. I have started taking soy and St. John's Wort for my 'craziness.' It helps.

It is possible that this is pre menopause.
I am now 36 and was diagnosed at 30. The first things that alerted me were the hot flashes, the tiredness, mood swings and the feeling faint. This went on for months before I plucked up the courage to go to the doctors. He sent me for tests and the hormone levels were found to be all over the place.
I was sent for further tests to confirm and then placed on HRT tablets. I took these for a good few years, and now I am on the maximum strength.
I suggest that if you haven't been then you go to the doctors for tests too. It may be nothing but it does sound very familiar to me. It may not be the news either you or your husband wish to hear, but at least some treatment will help give you some peace of mind, and relieve the symptoms.
Good luck with it, and if you remember then PM me and let me know how you get on. :)

From what I have heard..menopause doesnt just stop everything all at once..you can be in pre-menopause I am told for several years and during that time you can bare children;)+
